Final Fantasy Musings

Final_Fantasy_XIII_Lightning_by_angelusdeadmanAs an avid Final Fantasy player and hard core fan of the series, I added two new Final Fantasy games to my arsenal: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Perusing the guides I bought, I’m just blown away by the intensity and the graphics the games offer–which goes above and beyond anything I’ve played over the years.

Of course, once I get the system console, I’ll be lost in hours of game play (probably won’t see me online for a few weeks at best) and just eager to test out the new ATB system.

When I played Final Fantasy XII, I was just immersed in the depth and complexity that game offered as well as the interactive game play elements (literally: The weather kept changing and when it did…? You got powerful enemies that could wipe the floor with you!), but Final Fantasy XIII and its companion games go a step above and beyond that.

I don’t know what’s in store for me, but I know that I will have the ultimate experience that makes all previous reincarnations pale in comparison (well, maybe III, VII, VIII, and IX had a definitive platform).

At least…that’s my hope anyways.
